WT Library In Need

From the Friends of WT Library:
The toy sale is this Saturday, April 12, for the Windsor Terrace library. Rumor has it that NY 1 might show up to film the children's concert by Alex and the Kaleidoscope band. This is great except that we need more toys! We also need some volunteers to help us sort toys on Friday, April 11, between noon and 6 p.m. as well as help out during the sale anytime between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m.

If you're able to drop off some toys this week at the library that would be great! We'll be there on Friday from 12 noon to 6 p.m. to sort toys. The library is located on the corner of E.5th and Ft. Hamilton Parkway .

The toy sale runs from noon to 3 p.m.
The children's concert is from 1 to 2 p.m

K-Town Res. Names Roo

The winning name was entered by zoogoer Allison Make of Kensington. "Why Riley?" said Make. "Because it is my 1-year-old nephew's name, who I am totally in love with."

Where should I buy near Manhattan?

Q. I am looking to buy an apartment in New York within an hour's commute of Manhattan. I'm 25, make about $50,000 a year and want to be in a neighborhood with other young people. What can I afford and where should I look?
If you don't mind a longer commute, you'll get more space for your money further away — in Kensington or Clinton Hill, where studios cost $200K and 1BRs can be bought for $250K. But it's a one-hour train ride to midtown.
